Understanding the Tournament Format for the Osiris League
Blog Post Quick Links
Stage 1: Qualifiers
In the Osiris League, 512 alliances will be divided into 32 divisions and compete in 3 rounds of group stages and 2 rounds of eliminations. The winner of each division will receive rank rewards and advance to the next stage, with only the strongest alliances making it to the final rounds. There are 4 realms in total: Horus Realm, Anubis Realm, Bastet Realm, and Sobek Realm. Kingdoms are separated into each realm based on the kingdom splits for that specific season.
Osiris League Divisions
After the selection process, the 512 participating alliances will be divided into 32 divisions, each containing 16 alliances. It’s worth noting that only the top alliance in each division will advance to the playoffs.
Group Stage
In each division, the 16 participating alliances will be divided into four groups, with four alliances in each group. During the round robin stage, each alliance will face off against the other three alliances in their group. At the end of this stage, only the alliance with the most wins in each group will advance to the knockout stage. In the event that two alliances have the same number of wins, the winner of the battle between those two alliances will be the one to move on.
Knockout Stage
In the two-round single-knockout elimination stage for each division, there will be four alliances competing. The alliance that emerges victorious from this stage will advance to the playoffs.
Rest Period
After the qualifiers come to an end, there will be a seven-day rest period during which alliance leaders and officers can make certain adjustments to their registration details.
Competition Times
During the rest period, alliance leaders and officers will have the opportunity to select new competition times and adjust the order of their preferences. However, each alliance will still need to select three potential competition times.
Substitutions and Updating Participants
During the rest period, alliance leaders and officers will have the opportunity to adjust their alliance’s list of participants. Adjustments can be made freely during this period, but certain restrictions apply. For instance, no more than 10 of the original qualifier stage participants can be removed, and no more than 10 new participants can be added. Furthermore, the total number of participants added must be equal to or greater than the number removed.
Participants can be moved between combatant and substitute roles multiple times, but governors included on the list of participants for other division champions cannot be added as new participants. However, newly joined alliance members can be added.
Once the rest period ends, competition time selections and lists of participants will be locked and cannot be changed throughout the rest of the competition. League participant rewards will be sent to the list of participants confirmed at the end of the rest period.
Stage 2: Playoffs
After the 32 division champions have been determined, they will compete in 3 additional group stage rounds followed by 4 elimination rounds. At the end of the group stage, only the top 2 alliances in each group (16 alliances in total) will advance to the single-knockout elimination rounds. The final round will determine the world champion, and the level of rank rewards received will be determined by the alliances’ rankings.
Group Stage
The playoffs consist of an 8-group round-robin stage, with 4 alliances in each group. At the end of this stage, the top 2 alliances in each group with the most wins will advance to the knockout stage. In case of a tie, the alliance that won the battle between the tied alliances will progress. The playoffs will take place over 7 weeks and involve a total of 3 group stage rounds and 4 elimination rounds.
Knockout Stage
The tournament’s single-elimination phase will include four rounds, namely Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals. The final round’s victor will be declared the world champion of this season’s competition.
